Researchers, sponsors and administrators are invited to participate in plenary discussions and poster sessions on effective practices for facilitating interdisciplinary research. Keynote speakers include the National Science Foundation's Rita Colwell, the Department of Energy's Raymond Orbach and the National Institutes of Health's Lawrence Tabak. The two-day event begins on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004 in the National Academies' Keck Center, 500 Fifth St. N.W., Washington, D.C. The pre-registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 15.
